In the bustling communities of Lagos State, amidst the challenges of inadequate public services and security concerns, there shines a beacon of advocacy and community spirit: Mr. Olugbenga Ogunbanwo, affectionately known as “Simple Lat’Igbe.” Hailing from Epe his mother’s town , Ìráwọ̀ by Ìsíwọ̀ and Ìtamápakó along Ìlọ́tí (same as Alhaja Yisa Tawa) all in Ijebu in Ogun State is where his Father is from but making his home Somolu and Igbe, Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, Lagos state. Mr. Ogunbanwo has become a familiar name and voice across Western Nigeria.

His distinctive signoff on radio calls, “Emi ni Simple Lati Igbe,” has not only earned him the popular name of “Simple Lat’Igbe” but has also made him a household name from Lagos to Ibadan and beyond. With a keen ear for community issues, he diligently tunes in to various radio stations, including Radio Lagos, Eaglefm in ilese ijebu,Jordan FM, Bondfn, Gbedufm, Lawfm, POP voice of Nigeria, Miliki, Mainland fm, Freshfm, Princefm in ibadan, Adamimogo, Lasgidi, and Ikd Radio, as he said he calls all radio stations that are Yoruba based, ensuring his voice is heard and concerns addressed.

Mr. Ogunbanwo’s impact transcends demographics, resonating with both the affluent and the underprivileged, the young and the old. His unshakable commitment to easy life has earned him accolades as the most popular figure in Igbe, with a remarkable ability to bridge divides and connect with people from all walks of life.
