Hihgtech Caterpilar to the rescue

As the wise people said that necessity is the mother of invention, so it is for the people living in igbe a town almost surrounded by water, but has only an opening that leads only to

the itamaga ijede road as the only way for the residents to take during rainning season.

The Lagos state government during the term of Governor Ambode opened up the road from Ebute in ipakodo to igbogbo that would lead to Ginti passing through Igbe town. Since 5 years the project have been ongoing, its currently struck at end of Oreyo the town next to igbe which comprises of 10 smaller towns which include Laara, Oladehinde,  Oloja, Ginti, Igaramode, Igboken, Alagemo etc. All these areas have their Baales as follows:

1- Chief Solomon Ayanilowo ( Laketu of Igbe/Oluwo of Igbogbo Kingdom) who is the highest in ranking of all the Chiefs in igbe as he is an high chief at Igbogbo Palace where all chiefs takes order from
2- Chief Paul Dawodu ( Baale Oladeinde)
3- Chief Alhaji Rasaq Banjoko ( Baale Laara)
4- Alhaji Ejire Kazeem ( Olotu Igboken)
5- Mr Agoro Nosiru (Rep. Alagemo)
6- Chief Ogidi  ( Ginti)
7- Prince Ismail Wasiu (Secretary of Baale in council)  and others.

Currently the road stopped at end of Oreyo with an abandoned bridge at afa. Due to the position the bridge is there is always a heavy current whenever it rains. The community have tried to do a palliative on the road that takea them to Ginti towards Elepe, this remains the only outlet for everyone.

The raining this year  have been high and for 3 days it has been raining this had made the crossing of the river at Afa by the abandoned bridge difficult. The construction firm hightech rolled out one of their earth moving equipment to help pupils and people coming back to igbe from their daily jobs across the river into igbe town.

This effort by the construction company have been commended by many people as its a big surprise to them.
