In an effort to ease the current food crises in Nigeria, the federal government’s National Emergency Management Agency has delivered grains to the Lagos State Government. This allocation is intended for distribution to the most vulnerable individuals in society. The formal handover ceremony was attended by state and local government officials.

The grains, sourced from the federal government’s strategic reserve, were officially transferred to Lagos State for distribution across its 20 Local Government Areas. Mr. Abdulrasheed Macauley, representing the State Governor, expressed gratitude for the federal government’s support. He acknowledged the palliative’s significance in alleviating the economic hardships faced by vulnerable persons and assured that distribution would prioritize those most in need, as identified through enumeration in the State.
