Obafemi Awolowo during the war

In the war to preserve Nigeria, I need Awolowo more than I need the military ( Yakubu Gowon)

These were the challenges Awolowo faced as prime minister:

8 new states were created the same day. He had to manage the creation and administration of each of these states…. Setting up of the offices and allocation of revenues to them.

A three-year Biafra war was fought. Including buying of high-end ammunitions, large army recruitment and daily feeding of thousands of federal troops as they invaded the rouge country and chased the demagogue to Ivory Coast…. It Costs 30 billion dollars.

There was a revolt of farmers known as the agbekoya crisis that disrupted food supplies in the farms in the southwest

A new currency was created and redistributed during the time of war.

The source of revenues at the time was multinationals and tax from farmers.

In spite of these herculean challenges, Nigeria never borrowed money throughout the time….. food prices remained stable…. Inflation was at zero….. the new naira grew stronger than the dollar….. multinationals and business men/women got easy access to the new currency

This is the definition of a true genius. Many of us today embrace awoisim because the mind of the sage is of one who can transform an economy as well as guarantee self-preservation for indigenous people… We need an Awo for our time. He is somewhere reincarnated among one of the youths and we hope he shows himself soon.
