The transport fare from Ojubode to Laara has recently been raised to 600 Naira, up from the previous 500 Naira. This hike comes despite previous protests about the high cost. Meanwhile, trips to Ikorodu remain at 500 Naira, possibly due to lower demand in that direction.
Transporters attribute the sudden increase to fuel scarcity and the rising cost of fuel. This news will likely come as a shock to those traveling home to Igbe and Oreyo, who may have been accustomed to the previous fares.
