When people tell you that the British just gave power to the Fulani, tell them to read this thread. It shows the discussion of the 1950 Select Committee, where politicians from the Eastern region agreed that the North should have 50% of the parliamentary seat for the sake of one Nigeria. Essentially, they agreed that the North should have political dominance.
